The Head of the Civil Service of the Federation (HCSF), Olumuyiwa Enitan Abel, has inaugurated a nine-member committee to drive the implementation of the Renewed Hope Mass Transit Bus Scheme for Federal Civil Servants. The committee is expected to develop the framework for the pilot deployment of electric buses and ensure the scheme provides affordable, safe and accessible transportation for workers. Speaking during the inauguration in Abuja, Abel directed the committee to work with urgency, transparency and accountability, while eliminating bureaucratic bottlenecks that could frustrate the initiative. He disclosed that the pilot phase would begin with 10 electric buses operating on selected routes before the full deployment of the 100 buses earmarked for Federal Civil Servants.
