The Kogi State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has arrested a 35-year-old man, Adebayo Joshua, for allegedly vandalizing facilities at the Kogi State Project Cashew Aggregation Centre in Isanlu, Yagba East Local Government Area (LGA). The Command's Public Relations Officer, SC Aliyu Abdullahi, said the suspect was arrested on September 4, 2026, during a joint routine patrol by NSCDC personnel from Isanlu Division and local vigilantes. Abdullahi said Joshua was caught damaging critical equipment at the centre and has made a confessional statement and is cooperating with officers to assist ongoing investigations before prosecution. Items recovered from him include peeled electrical cables and an electrical control board.
