The United Nations General Assembly adopted the 'Correct the Map' resolution, co-sponsored by all 54 African Union members, including Zambia. The Togo-led initiative aims to correct the Mercator projection's distortion that minimizes Africa's true size. Zambia's Permanent Representative, Dr. Chola Milambo, welcomed the adoption as a historic moment for Africa and other marginalized regions.
