The National Cash Transfer Office (NCTO) rejected fraud allegations regarding ₦33.75 billion in 2023 cash transfers. NCTO stated that payments were made to identified beneficiaries through electronic systems. The office clarified that an audit query does not establish that funds were stolen or misappropriated.
