South Sudan: Displaced women build resilience through new livelihoods in Tambura

In Tambura, Western Equatoria State, women displaced by conflict are building resilience through new livelihoods after receiving vocational training supported by the United Nations Mission in South Sudan. Jackline Moses, who has lived in a tent for six years since conflict forced her to flee, said the whereabouts of her husband and other relatives remain unknown and described the trauma of witnessing bloodshed and death during her escape. The training enables women to set up new businesses, providing more than income by helping families and communities rebuild, regain independence, and work toward a safe and peaceful return home.
