President Bola Ahmed Tinubu announced that he has fulfilled promises made to the Super Eagles, Super Falcons, and D'Tigress following their recent competition victories. The D'Tigress won the FIBA Women's Afrobasket title last year, and the Super Falcons secured their 10th Women's Africa Cup of Nations title in Morocco earlier this year. In a post on X on Thursday, Tinubu stated that each D'Tigress player received the naira equivalent of $100,000, while officials received $50,000, completing a package that also includes national honours and three-bedroom homes in Abuja. He emphasized that a promise made must be a promise kept.
