2027: Why Ogun APC Gov’ship Primary Can’t Stand – Hunye

Abayomi Hunye, a governorship aspirant of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ogun State, has insisted that the primary that produced Senator Solomon Adeola (Yayi) as the party's candidate cannot stand due to lack of fairness and transparency. Hunye had recently declared he remains in the 2027 governorship race and unveiled a running mate. During the May primary, the APC declared Yayi the winner with 304,055 votes out of 305,287 accredited voters, while Hunye polled no votes. Hunye has dragged the party and Yayi to court to nullify the primary, citing widespread irregularities and disenfranchisement of his supporters.
