Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, the vice-presidential candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), has called on former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar to withdraw from the 2027 presidential race. Kwankwaso made the appeal during a visit by members of the Fulani Farmers Association to his Abuja residence. He cited Atiku's age and health as reasons for his call, and suggested that the former vice-president should support Peter Obi instead. Kwankwaso assured that Atiku would be well taken care of if he steps aside.
