Uber CEO Dara Khosrowshahi said riders could see lower prices as the company reinvests savings from recent layoffs and reduced insurance costs. Uber cut about 10% of its corporate workforce, or roughly 3,300 jobs, earlier this month. Speaking at a Goldman Sachs conference, Khosrowshahi stated that the savings would be used to lower prices, improve selection, and invest in growth. The company also plans to use lower insurance costs to further reduce prices.
