Meta is asking some of its employees to become managers again in a new reorg

Meta is asking some employees in its Applied AI division to transition back into management roles as part of a recent reorganization. The program is opt-in, according to sources, and marks a partial reversal for Meta, which had previously converted managers to individual contributors. The Applied AI group, launched this year, focuses on training AI models and includes about 7,000 reassigned employees. Meta declined to comment on the matter.
