Singaporean Man Pleads Guilty To $245m Bitcoin Heist In US

A 22-year-old Singaporean, Malone Lam, has pleaded guilty in the United States to a racketeering conspiracy charge related to the theft of approximately $245 million worth of bitcoin. Prosecutors accused Lam of leading an international group that used deception and stolen personal information to access victims’ cryptocurrency wallets. The group allegedly spent the stolen funds on luxury items, including over 30 vehicles, high-end watches, designer clothing, private jet rentals, and luxury homes.
