A 32-year-old survivor of a suspected toxic alcohol incident in Odigbo Local Government Area of Ondo State, Shola Adebayo, has narrated how he lost his sight after consuming two shots of a locally sold alcoholic drink known as 'Monkey Tail.' Adebayo, who is receiving treatment in hospital, said he took the drink on Friday with a friend and had consumed it occasionally in the past without serious reaction. He said he returned home after two shots and discovered the following day that his vision had deteriorated. He called his sister, who took him to the hospital. Adebayo said his condition is improving but he is still battling to regain his sight, expressing hope for full recovery.
