Motivated Falconets Keep Hope Alive With Scoreless China Draw

Nigeria's U20 women's national team, the Falconets, played out a 0-0 draw against China PR in their second Group F match at the 2026 FIFA U20 Women's World Cup in Poland. The match took place at the Arena Sosnowiec on Thursday evening. Coach Moses Aduku's side created several chances, with Janet Akekoromowei going close in the 17th, 38th and added time of the first half, while Kafayat Mafisere won a corner in the 33rd minute. China also threatened before the break through Huang Jiaxin, Zhou Xinyi and Song Lijuan, while goalkeeper Christiana Uzoma kept the Nigerian defence firm.
