The crisis within the Enugu State chapter of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) has ended after Professor Ene-Nwannaji withdrew his lawsuit against the party's governorship candidate, Chinyeaka Ohaa. The Federal High Court in Enugu dismissed the case, resolving the dispute over the party's governorship candidacy for the 2027 election. The conflict had involved two factions: one supporting Ohaa and another led by the state secretary, Dr. Sebastine Chukwuebuka Okafor, which claimed Ene-Nwannaji was the legitimate candidate. Ohaa welcomed the court's decision, describing it as a step toward party unity.
