The federal government has received a new consignment of military equipment from the United States to support efforts against insecurity in Nigeria. The equipment arrived aboard a US Air Force C-17 Globemaster III aircraft under the Foreign Military Sales arrangement between Washington and Abuja. The US Africa Command announced the delivery on Thursday via its official X account, describing it as a sign of expanding security partnership between the two countries. The equipment, which arrived over the weekend, is expected to strengthen Nigeria's capacity to respond to terrorism and other security threats.
