2027: I am still open to alliance – Peter Obi

Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress, has said he remains open to an alliance among opposition parties ahead of the 2027 election. In an interview on Arise TV on Thursday, Obi stated that negotiations over potential alliances must take place between political parties rather than individual leaders. He was responding to questions about whether he would step down for Atiku Abubakar or accept a vice-presidential slot if an alliance was reached. Opposition parties had met on August 31 in Abuja under the G-100 to discuss the coalition proposal.
