School resumption: Abuja hairdressers record increased patronage

Hairdressers in the Federal Capital Territory and environs have reported increased patronage following the resumption of schools for a new academic session. In separate interviews with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), they said parents are increasingly opting for simple and affordable hairstyles to cope with back-to-school expenses. Mrs Grace Moses, a hairstylist, noted that patronage was usually low during school holidays, but business had picked up since schools resumed. She said simple hairstyles such as 'All-back' and 'Chuku' now cost about N1,000, attributing the increase to the rising cost of living and higher business costs.
