Dr. Jobson Oseodion Ewalefoh, Director-General of the Infrastructure Concession Regulatory Commission (ICRC), has called for stronger public-private partnership (PPP) collaboration among ECOWAS member states. He cited Nigeria's Customs Modernisation Project, known as B'Odogwu, as a PPP innovation with continental potential, noting its recent adoption by the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) Secretariat for a $3.1 billion, 20-year concession across about 50 member countries. Ewalefoh said the development demonstrates that Nigerian PPPs can generate innovations exportable to other African economies. He also mentioned that Nigeria could deepen regional cooperation through its port infrastructure to serve landlocked West African countries.
