The Kebbi State Pilgrims Welfare Agency (KBSPWA) has paid N21.5 billion to the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) for the fares of the state’s intending pilgrims for the 2027 Hajj. The executive chairman of the agency, Faruku Musa Enabo, confirmed this during a courtesy call on Governor Nasir Idris at the Government House in Birnin Kebbi. Enabo stated that the agency had registered 3,257 intending pilgrims, the highest figure in the country, and had reached 95 per cent registration and 85 per cent remittance of fares.
