The Kano State Forum of Information Officers has commended Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf for sponsoring 52 information officers to attend the 2026 National Professional Capacity Building Workshop organized by the Association of Local Government Information Officers of Nigeria (ALGION) in Abuja. The chairman of the forum, Comrade Sharif Kofar Nasarawa, gave the commendation at the workshop's opening ceremony, describing the sponsorship as a clear demonstration of the governor's commitment to human capital development and the professional advancement of information officers. He said the decision to sponsor 52 local government and zonal information officers was unprecedented and highly commendable. According to him, the knowledge and exposure gained would enhance the participants' capacity and strengthen information dissemination and government communication across the state.
