Nigeria's First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, described Ndigbo as 'very nice' and trustworthy people during a visit to Anambra State. She spoke at a civic reception in Awka after being conferred with the chieftaincy title of Ugoeze Anambra by the state council of traditional rulers. Mrs Tinubu also commissioned a Technological Centre at the Federal Polytechnic, Oko, and praised Governor Chukwuma Soludo's administration as 'very superb'.
