Kaduna-based Islamic cleric Ahmad Gumi has filed a defamation suit before the Kaduna State Upper Sharia Court. The suit is against businessman Nasiru Idris over allegations broadcast across multiple media organisations. The allegations concerned the abduction of a Moroccan wife.
