Markets are pricing in a high chance that the Federal Reserve will raise interest rates at least once in the remaining months of 2026. According to the CME FedWatch tool, there is a 71.8% chance of a hike at the September meeting and 63.5% odds of at least two hikes by December. Some Wall Street analysts suggest that stocks could weather the hikes due to AI spending and optimism, as well as the slow pace of increases. Inflation has remained sticky, recently coming in at 3.4% year-over-year.
