Vice-President Kashim Shettima is expected to travel to New Delhi, India, for the 18th BRICS Leaders' Summit scheduled for the weekend. He will represent President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, who is currently on vacation in Europe. According to a statement by his spokesman, Stanley Nkwocha, Nigeria will use the summit to consolidate bilateral relations, expand economic cooperation and advance strategic interests. The engagements are expected to cover trade and investment, energy, agriculture, solid minerals, technology and innovation, as well as cooperation among countries of the Global South.
