Governor Charles Soludo of Anambra State has pledged support for the welfare of journalists while urging them to engage in responsible reporting. He stated that journalism is irreplaceable in a democracy and described democracy as a marathon rather than a dash. The governor noted that Nigerian democracy is still evolving and that journalists must play their role in it.
