Nigeria’s Jimoh Ibrahim takes over chairmanship of UN peacekeeping committee 

Nigeria has taken over the chairmanship of the UN Special Committee on Peacekeeping Operations. The position was assumed by Jimoh Ibrahim. The committee is popularly known as the Special Committee on Peacekeeping Operations. Nigeria's leadership role in the committee is expected to enhance its influence in global peacekeeping efforts.
