The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) and the United States Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) have begun moves to probe the alleged diversion of USAID funds. The investigation follows suspicions of mismanagement or diversion of funds by some organisations. The affected programmes were shut down before the probe commenced.
