The Cross River State Government has approved the recruitment of 4,000 fresh workers into the local government service. The decision follows the cancellation of the 2024/2025 recruitment exercise, which was described as fundamentally flawed and marred by alleged job racketeering. The Secretary to the State Government, Prof. Anthony Owan-Enoh, disclosed this in a statement on Thursday. The approval came after the submission of a report on the previous recruitment exercise.
