The National Assembly of Lesotho has convened for its Ninth Meeting of the First Session of the Eleventh Parliament following the winter recess. The Clerk of the National Assembly, Adv. Lebohang Maema, King's Counsel, said there is a substantial amount of work to be undertaken, particularly the consideration of Bills and reports from Parliamentary Committees. Key matters that still need to be finalised include the Water Resources Management Bill, the Tax Administration Bill, and the operationalisation of the 10th Amendment to the Constitution Act, 2025. The National Assembly adjourned in June 2026 for the winter recess.
