Lesotho Proudly Stands Prepared to Host ‘the Roof of Africa Rally’ Flagship Event for Both Sport and Tourism

LesRock has partnered with various stakeholders to enhance the Roof of Africa rally through entertainment activities and to encourage greater participation by Basotho in the prestigious motorcycle rally. In an interview, LesRock Director Ms. Limpho Nkune said the initiative, in collaboration with the Lesotho Off-Road Association (LORA), aims to add entertainment and tourism value to the event and ensure it benefits local communities. The first activity will be held on September 13, 2026, when food and clothing will be prepared and distributed to people living on the streets as part of giving back to the community. Ms. Nkune said the initiative will be carried out with the Litsamaiso Foundation, which already prepares food for needy people every Sunday. The initiative also intends to create awareness about the Roof of Africa among Basotho.
