The Kano State Police Command has arrested eight suspects in separate raids targeting drug peddling and thuggery in Panshekara and Kunchi/Ghari areas. In Panshekara, surveillance operatives arrested Samson Yakubu, 21, and seven others at a black spot, recovering 15 Pregabalin capsules, five Diazepam tablets, 10 Exol tablets, and dried leaves suspected to be Indian hemp. In a separate operation at Matanfada Market in Kunchi/Ghari, five suspects were arrested for allegedly intimidating traders and residents. The police said investigation is ongoing and the suspects will be charged to court after its conclusion.
