Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has responded to comments made by Gabriel Jesus regarding his departure from the club. Jesus, who left Arsenal in September after four years and subsequently joined Barcelona, stated in an interview that he was made to train away from the group and was not informed about the transfer. Arteta said he was "very surprised" by the claims, noting that he had held an individual conversation with the Brazilian striker in the dressing room. The Arsenal boss added that the words exchanged during that meeting were focused on gratitude, and that the two had parted on good terms.
