Babatunde Gbadamosi, the deputy governorship candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), has explained his decision to run alongside Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour ahead of the 2027 Lagos State governorship election. He said he was initially reluctant to accept the offer but reconsidered after being approached by Rhodes-Vivour. According to him, the decision is an opportunity to send a message to Nigeria's political class about the need for young people to play a greater role in governance. He added that Rhodes-Vivour stressed the need for all hands to be on deck to achieve their political objective.
