The Federal Government has paid N18 billion to former staff of the defunct Nigeria Airways, according to Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Taiwo Oyedele. The payments were approved by President Bola Tinubu after more than twenty years. Oyedele also disclosed that 12,000 local contractors have been paid as part of efforts to meet government contractual obligations.
