Lagos govt tightens safety measures as schools resume

The Lagos State Government has intensified safety and security measures in schools ahead of the resumption of the 2026/2027 academic session. The Commissioner for Basic and Secondary Education, Mr Jamiu Alli-Balogun, urged school communities to remain vigilant and report any security concerns or unsafe conditions. Public primary and secondary schools in the state are set to resume on Monday.
