No blanket ban on foreigners engaged in small businesses – Kenya

The Kenyan government has clarified that it has not imposed a blanket ban on foreign nationals engaged in small-scale businesses. Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi said foreign nationals are free to engage in commercial activities if they comply with Kenyan laws and regulations. The clarification follows concerns over a directive by President William Ruto restricting foreign participation in certain small-scale businesses, which had raised fears among foreign traders.
