The Odigbo Local Government Area of Ondo State has banned the sale and trade of herbal concoctions following the death of 32 people from suspected poisoning linked to a locally brewed drink. The council chairman declared that it is now a taboo for anyone to sell or trade any herbal concoction in the area, and violators will be arrested by security agencies. The ban comes after residents, mostly youths, fell ill after consuming the suspected herbal alcoholic drinks in Araromi-Obu and Odigbo communities.
