The Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) has extended its special passport intervention exercise in the United Kingdom to October 3, 2026. The extension follows complaints from Nigerians over delays and challenges during the exercise in London and Manchester. The NIS stated that despite initial challenges, 1,477 Nigerians were processed and enrolled within the first four days, with more than half already receiving their passports. The extension was approved under the directive of the Comptroller General.
