The Ministry of Health in Sierra Leone, through its Directorate of Environmental Health, has launched a nationwide pest and disease control exercise targeting all government hospitals. About 124 trained fumigation officers and supervisors will be deployed to various facilities to work with hospital leadership to ensure proper disinfection and safety measures. The Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Mustapha Kabba, encouraged the workers to prioritize patient safety and professionalism. The exercise is part of efforts to boost the 300 Days of Activism campaign and keep hospitals free from infections.
