Eritrea: Public Celebration in Connection with Kudus Yohannes Holiday

A public celebration for the Kudus Yohannes holiday was held in the Gerenfit administrative area of the Gash Barka Region in Eritrea. The event was organized by the Ministry of Information and the Commission of Culture and Sports and was attended by Ambassador Mahmud Ali Hirui, Governor of the Gash Barka Region, along with senior government officials, army commanders, religious leaders, and public representatives. Mr. Idris Saleh, Director General of Culture and Sports in the region, extended best wishes and noted that the holiday reflects the noble culture and values of the Eritrean people. He added that the celebration was particularly special as it coincided with the Golden Jubilee of the armed struggle for independence and the 50th anniversary of the establishment of the Revolution School.
