Residents of communities in Tambuwal Local Government Area of Sokoto State staged a protest on Friday over renewed bandit attacks and kidnappings. The protesters, including displaced persons from villages such as Margai, Girkau, Romon Liman, Romon Sarki, and Masu, blocked the Tambuwal-Jega and Tambuwal-Aleiro roads. The demonstration began in the morning and lasted until about 1 pm, with participants demanding the urgent deployment of security personnel to protect their communities. They said they had been forced to flee their homes due to repeated attacks.
