Former Labour Party vice-presidential candidate Datti Baba-Ahmed stated that only God can prevent President Bola Tinubu from winning the 2027 presidential election. In an interview with Trust TV, Baba-Ahmed assessed the political landscape and acknowledged Tinubu's ability to build political structures and alliances over many years. He noted that Tinubu spent about 16 years organizing and played a key role in bringing former President Muhammadu Buhari into an alliance ahead of the 2015 election. Despite being critical of Tinubu's policies, Baba-Ahmed recognized his political achievements.
