A report by the US House Committee on Homeland Security has identified Africa as the world's most active theatre for terrorism, with more than two-thirds of global ISIS activity occurring on the continent. The report, released ahead of the 25th anniversary of the September 11 attacks, examines US homeland security developments and emerging threats. It expressed concern over limited US and partner resources in Africa and uneven intelligence coverage across the continent.
