The Air Component of Joint Task Force (North East), Operation HADIN KAI, has conducted an air interdiction operation against a terrorist enclave at Tumbunma Baba in Borno State, killing over 18 terrorists and destroying their logistics hubs. The operation was carried out in close coordination with ground troops of Sector 1 OPHK, using Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance and attack platforms. Acting Media Information Officer Captain Mohammed Goni said the operation was based on credible intelligence over past weeks indicating the presence of high-profile terrorist elements. The intelligence was validated through further surveillance.
