Chelsea forward João Pedro has been named the EA Sports Premier League Player of the Month for August 2026, his first such honour and the first by a Chelsea player since Cole Palmer in September 2024. Chelsea announced the award on its website on Friday, stating Pedro beat Palmer and six other shortlisted players in the public vote. The Brazilian recorded four goal contributions in Chelsea's opening two league matches, scoring 33 seconds into the win over Fulham and adding a goal and an assist against Brighton & Hove Albion.
