The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has asked the Court to dismiss a suit filed by Atiku Abubakar, the presidential candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), seeking President Bola Tinubu's disqualification from the 2027 presidential election. INEC described the suit as an abuse of court process. The commission filed an objection and counter-affidavit in response. The case is now before the Court for determination.
