The Digital Rights Lawyers Initiative (DRLI) has called for an independent audit of Nigeria's electoral technologies ahead of the 2027 general elections. The group warned that inadequate oversight of INEC's systems could undermine public confidence. They also demanded stronger safeguards for voters' personal and biometric information, speaking at a panel during the 4th Annual Privacy Conference in Lagos.
