Chille Igbawua, a chieftain of the African Democratic Congress, has dismissed calls for former Vice President Atiku Abubakar to withdraw from the 2027 presidential race. In an interview on Arise Television, Igbawua said suggestions that Atiku's age and health should disqualify him are unfounded. He argued that age alone does not determine a person's ability to govern.
