Captain Mohammed Joji, former Managing Director of Nigeria Airways and Skypower Express Airways, died in Kaduna on Thursday night at the age of 79. He was buried on Friday after funeral prayers at Sultan Bello Mosque, Kaduna, led by Islamic scholar Sheikh Ahmad Gumi. Tributes from religious leaders, friends, associates and prominent Nigerians described him as a patriotic Nigerian, committed Muslim, generous philanthropist and experienced pilot. Gumi said Joji cared deeply about Islam, the North and Nigeria.
