First City Monument Bank (FCMB) and Alitheia Capital have partnered to expand access to debt and equity funding for women-led businesses in Nigeria, addressing financing and market-access constraints that limit their growth. The partnership, announced ahead of the 2026 W.O.M.A.N. Conference scheduled for September 10 and 11 in Lagos, will connect about 300 women-led micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) with financial institutions, investors, policymakers, development organizations, and business leaders. Nnenna Jacob-Ogogo, Group Head of Gender and Impact Sectors at FCMB, said the partnership aims to help women entrepreneurs build stronger businesses capable of attracting capital and scaling sustainably. She noted that women are building businesses that create jobs, strengthen communities, and contribute to Nigeria's productive economy.
